Jesus Is Knocking On Your Hearts Door

We love this vintage picture!
It reverently, continues to hang on a wall in our home.

This picture is a constant source of comfort and love; not just because of precious memories but for what it represents.

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me. (Rev. 3:20)

***Notice the door does not have a doorknob or handle***

When someone knocks at our door it is to get our attention, to let us know that someone is at the door and we need to come and find out why.
(door bells are a modern version of knocking)
When Jesus says that He stands at the door, and is knocking,
He is telling us that He is trying to get our attention. But also notice, He doesn't mention anyone hearing His knocking. He only mentions hearing His VOICE.
Jesus is knocking on the door - AND- calling us.

There are a couple of conditions....("if's").
The first condition is "if any man hear my voice."
The second is "if any man open."

Won't you hear the knocking and open the door...
of your heart?
